How to Find Us

General

As Mull is an island there has to be a ferry involved somewhere, unless you come by private plane.

The main ferry port is at Craignure which is serviced from Oban. However this is not the only way.

To reach The Old Stables:

From Craignure

From the ferry drive up the ramp and turn right onto the A849 signposted for Salen and Tobermory. The area known as Glenforsa is about 10 miles along this road. After about 9 miles you will see a sign for The Glenforsa Hotel. Watch out for this, as after 1 mile you will see a large signboard indicating the right turn for the Glenforsa Hotel. Turn here. After about 25 metres take another right turn (still following the Glenforsa Hotel signs). The Old Stables is located on the left hand side clearly marked with its own board.

From Fishnish

From the ferry drive up the ramp and follow the road for about a mile until a T junction. Turn right onto the A849 signposted to Salen (6 miles). After about 5 miles you will see a sign for The Glenforsa Hotel.

From Tobermory

Follow Main Street Tobermory, passing the Distillery. The road climbs steeply to a roundabout. Turn left onto the A848 signposted Salen. Follow this road until you reach Salen. You will see the wrecks in the harbour just before you arrive in the village. Drive through Salen, passing the Spar shop on your left. After about 1 mile you will see a large signboard for The Glenforsa Hotel ahead of you on the right hand side of the road. Turn left here. After about 25 metres take another right turn (still following the Glenforsa Hotel signs). The Old Stables is located on the left hand side clearly marked with its own board.
